1. The Excellence of Supplication on the Day of Arafah

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“The best supplication is the supplication of the Day of Arafah, and the best words that I and the Prophets before me have said are:

(There is no god but Allah, alone without partner. His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He has power over all things.)”

(O Allah, I have indeed oppressed my soul excessively, and none can forgive sins except You. So forgive me with a forgiveness from Yourself, and have mercy upon me. Surely, You are the Most-Forgiving, the Most-Merciful.)

(O Allah, by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation, keep me alive as long as You know life to be good for me, and cause me to die if You know death to be better for me.
