Muslim pilgrims pelting the Jamarat pillars in Mina on the 12th Day of Dhul-Hijja

Step 1: Engage in Remembrance and Virtuous Deeds

Make the most of your time while staying in Mina by continuously remembering Allah and engaging in righteous actions.

Step 2: Pelting the Jamarat After Midday

After midday (Zawal), throw seven pebbles at each of the three Jamarat pillars in the exact same order as done previously (Small, Middle, then Large).

Step 3: Option for Early Departure (Ta’ajjul)

After completing the pelting ritual, pilgrims have the option to leave Mina early if they wish.

Step 4: Farewell Circumambulation (Tawaf Al-Wada’)

If choosing to depart early, you must leave Mina before sunset and proceed to Makkah to perform the Farewell Circumambulation (Tawaf Al-Wada’).

Step 5: Excellence of Staying Longer

Although early departure is allowed, it is more meritorious for pilgrims to remain in Mina for an extra day to perform pelting on the 13th of Dhul-Hijja.

Step 6: Recommended Prayer Location in Mina

During your stay in Mina throughout the Days of Tashreeq, it is preferable to perform prayers at Masjid al-Khaif whenever possible.
