Explanation
ALLAH is Al-Ghafoor, the One who is The Forgiving, The Exceedingly and Perfectly Forgiving, The Perfect Forgiver and Pardoner.
The word Ghafoor comes from the root word ghayn-faa-raa (غ ف ر).
The name Al-Ghafoor appears repetitively in the Qur’an and is often paired with another name: Ash-Shakoor – (The Grateful) as we see in
Surah Fatir, 29-30
“Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend (in His cause) out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, (can) expect a profit that will never perish – That He may give them in full their rewards and increase for them of His bounty. Indeed, He is Forgiving and Appreciative.”
